1. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the website at mobileaxerva.com (the “Site”) and to mobile axe throwing events provided by Mobile Axe RVA (“Mobile Axe RVA,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site or booking an event, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are booking on behalf of a company, property, school, or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
2. Quotes and booking requests
- Submitting a quote request or a booking request through the Site is a request for availability and pricing. It is not a confirmed booking.
- Prices and planning estimates shown on the Site are current package pricing and are provided to help you budget. Your written quote controls; final pricing depends on date, location, distance, duration, guest count, setup requirements, and any add-ons.
- An event is confirmed only when we have confirmed the date, setup details, and quote in writing and the deposit has been received.
- We may decline or cancel a request that we cannot safely or practically serve, including locations without a suitable setup area or vehicle access. Any deposit paid for a request we decline is refunded in full.
3. Deposit, balance, and payments
- A deposit confirms your date: $100 for events under $1,000, or 25% of the total for events of $1,000 or more. The deposit applies to your balance and is non-refundable except as stated in these Terms.
- The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event unless your quote states otherwise.
- Payments are processed by Stripe through a secure card link. We do not store card numbers.
- Travel is free within 25 miles of Richmond, Virginia, and is otherwise quoted at $3 per mile round-trip. Any travel charge is stated on your quote.
4. Cancellation, rescheduling, and weather
- Cancel 15 or more days before the event: the deposit is forfeited; no balance is owed.
- Cancel within 14 days: 50% of the total is owed.
- Cancel within 48 hours, or a no-show: 100% of the total is owed.
- Rescheduling: one free reschedule with 14 or more days’ notice, subject to availability.
- Weather: weather reschedules are free, and your deposit carries to the new date. We confirm a rain plan with your quote when it matters, and the final go/no-go call for unsafe weather is made by Mobile Axe RVA.
5. What the host provides
- A suitable setup area — most events fit a level space of roughly 30 by 20 feet — with vehicle and trailer access for load-in and load-out.
- Permission from the property owner, venue, or manager to host axe throwing at the location, including any venue rules or certificate-of-insurance requests, shared with us before the event.
- Accurate event details (date, start time, headcount, and location). If the details change materially after the quote is confirmed, the quote may change.
6. Safety and participation
- Axe throwing involves inherent risk. Our staff coach every thrower, control the throwing lanes, and run the safety briefing, and all guests must follow staff instructions at all times.
- Participants may be asked to sign a participation waiver before throwing. Anyone who declines, or who cannot safely follow instructions, will not be permitted to throw.
- Mobile Axe RVA staff may pause or stop throwing for any guest, or for the event, when they judge it necessary for safety. No refund is owed for time lost for safety reasons caused by guests.
- The host is responsible for guest conduct at the event and for any damage to our equipment caused by guests beyond normal use.
7. Insurance
Mobile Axe RVA carries liability insurance, and a certificate of insurance (COI) is available on request for your venue or property manager during booking.
8. Photos and video
With the host’s permission, we may take photos or video at an event for our own marketing. Tell us before the event if you would prefer that we do not, and we will honor that.
9. Website use
- The Site, including its text, photos, logos, and design, belongs to Mobile Axe RVA or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
- You agree not to submit false, misleading, or automated requests, or to interfere with the Site’s operation.
- Links to third-party sites (such as Google, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
- The Site is provided “as is.” We work to keep information accurate and the Site available, but we do not guarantee that either will be error-free or uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mobile Axe RVA’s total liability arising out of the Site or an event is limited to the amount paid to us for that event. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Richmond, Virginia.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms as our services change. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. The Terms in effect when your event is confirmed apply to that event.
